Rick
BettuaRick Bettua started
spearfishing at the age of nine with his brother John in Vero Beach Fla.
He and his brother grew up spearfishing off the southern coast of Florida
until the day Rick enlisted in the US Navy. Rick had a dream to
become a Navy Deep Sea Diver, and in short order he accomplished that.
With the first of a series of Diving related schools complete he knew he
wanted to be a Navy Master Diver more than anything. This
qualification is only held by a select few in the US Navy today.
When asked about this accomplishment, he just smiles and says, "All I ever
wanted to be is a diver". To this day, Rick is still a Navy Master
Diver on active duty, with goals of retiring from the Navy and running
Aimrite Hawaii on a full-time basis. |
Daryl and Rick met in 1993 and have
been close friends ever since. They have been traveling around the
world spearfishing together for over 10 years. In January of 2000 a
partnership was formed and Aimrite became more than a dream.
Aimrite Hawaii
Aimrite was formed to produce a state-of-the-art hardware, like triggers
and shafts, for Daryl's (and other gun builder's) custom made spearguns.
Aimrite also produces spearfishing accessories, like floats and lines.
They wanted to product the finest equipment, without compromise.
Their products used the most advanced technology, manufacturing
lightweight but strong components. That led them to engineers in the
aerospace community and the American Manufacturers Association.
Without question, the finest craftsmanship and materials are "made in the
USA". Injection molding processes and various space age
thermoplastics are used to guarantee repeatable accuracy. Investment
cast heat-treated stainless steel is used on all load-bearing surfaces for
strength and durability. Each component has been thoroughly tested
to ensure the best possible hunting experience.
Aimrite's tradition for standing behind what they manufacture goes steps
further by providing customer care that is "second to none". Many
companies make claims to having a warranty policy, but Aimrite's policy is
simple. If any item fails, Aimrite will send out a replacement part,
normally within 48 hours....no questions asked! The only request is
that the damaged item be returned for evaluation purposes.
"At Aimrite, we strive to make the best
equipment possible, and we promise to treat our customers the way they
want to be treated."......Daryl Wong and Rick Bettua. |
